STEP 1 OF 4: PERMACONN INSTALLATION [6]
Phone Alarmquip Office on 1300 552 520 (Select option 3, during business hours Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm AEST) to activate account and put account onto test. Advise Alarmquip of alarm panel type when signing on.
Permaconn PM45 is powered from the alarm panel
Connect the Permaconn PM45 to the alarm system
The aerial is positioned outside the alarm housing and cannot be bumped
Connect momentary key switch from output one of the PM45 to an available zone (The Permaconn PM45 will provide a momentary close contact between ground and output one to arm and disarm the alarm, if no zones are available advise Alarmquip while onsite)
Disconnect phone line from alarm panel. If line is in a MODE3 configuration, ensure the line is passing through to the customer equipment correctly.
NOTES
• The three inputs on the Permaconn PM45 DO NOT need to be bridged with resistors
• The premade 611 socket should be used as the preferred connection method
Permaconn Installation Comments
STEP 2 OF 4: PROGRAMMING [11]
Program new four-digit account code provided by Alarmquip. If programming the alarm panel is not possible, contact Alarmquip. A fixed account code will be applied to the Permaconn PM45 negating the need to change the account code in the alarm panel.
If required, the dialler number can be programmed as any 8-digit number. E.g. 12345678
Program key switch zone to arm and disarm alarm on a momentary closed contact
Send test signals from alarm (Via test report, arm and disarm system or set zone into alarm)
Phone Alarmquip Office on 1300 552 520 and verify signals have been received
Ensure daily test reports are enabled
Ensure open and close reports are enabled for all areas
Program new installer code as provided by Alarmquip
Provide Alarmquip with remote access details to panel
Liaise with Store manager and setup INDIVIDUAL codes for each user.
Liaise with Store manager and setup codes for temporary staff if required. Re-iterate to staff that they are NOT to share their code
NOTES
• If installer code is unknown or cannot be sourced from previous company advise Alarmquip.
• If required, the dialer number can be programmed as any 8-digit number. E.g. 12345678
• If programming the alarm panel is not possible, the following will need to be explored; 1) Source installer code via previous installer or client, 2) Default the alarm panel and reprogram, 3) Connect PC to alarm and interrogate installer code or default system, 4) Contact Alarmquip and investigate options with replacing the alarm panel.

STEP 3 OF 4: COMMISIONING [9]
Temporarily disconnect sirens and set all zones (including tampers and duress/holdup devices) into alarm.
Ensure all zones are in alarm on alarm keypad and signals have been received by Alarmquip for each zone
Ensure system can be armed and disarmed via key switch from Permaconn PM45
Test sirens and strobe light
Test wireless devices (If any) and check batteries. Note battery types installed.
Install new stickers on panel(s), doors and windows. New signs installed on fence line
Take photos of keypad and inside alarm panel housing. Send installation photos to admin@alarmquip.com.au
Advise Store manager to contact previous monitoring company and cancel current monitoring with third party company.
Complete monitoring form.
