Ducted Vacuum Systems
With Alarmquip’s Ducted System you vacuum with only a lightweight hose. The motor is located away from the living area - maybe in the garage and is connected to the hose by way of a network of ducting that runs to conveniently placed inlet points in the house. The vacuum will turn on automatically or with switch on the handle when the hose is plugged into the inlet points.
Everything vacuumed into the hose goes into the power unit, which is normally located in the garage. The air is filtered and exhausted or, if you wish, it may be ducted outside completely. The air inside your home stays healthier which is essential for asthma and allergy sufferers.
House dust mites live in our homes. The average pillow is home to approximately 10000 dust mites. House dust mites are the most important source of allergens in house dust. Severe allergies, rhinitis (hay-fever like symptoms), eczema (skin inflammation) and asthma (respiratory disorder) are induced by the allergens these mites produce and affect 50 – 100 million people worldwide. However, dust mites are less troubling if their population levels remain low.” Department of Entomology, University of Queensland Entomology).
With a Central Vacuum System, these dirt & dust particles are transported to the main unit with the series of pipes that are installed behind the walls of under the floor of you home. In this way, airborne dust is reduced with a central vacuum, while conventional vacuum cleaner bags pass dust particles through the bag and back into the air and your home.

The cleaning action is also more powerful than a conventional vacuum. The high-quality motor located in the main unit enables you to achieve a superior level of cleanliness in your home that your old vacuum could never be able to give you.
You now have a convenient way to keep your home clean. There are no bags to empty—the canister on the main unit only needs to be emptied a few times a year. There are no electrical cords to trip you over as you vacuum—inlets are placed in practical positions around your home. All you need to do is plug in the vacuum head & hose in the different locations. This reduces your vacuuming time. Storage of the head & hose takes up very little space, and its lightweight material means you don’t have to cart a huge, heavy unit around the house as you clean.
